• 5 Canvases or Canvas Boards (size suggestions: 11x14 or 12x16) I use Raymar smooth cotton canvas panels raymarart.com – but any type will do.
• Vine Charcoal - Thin Extra Soft (not compressed charcoal or charcoal pencils)
• Palette - can be wood, plastic, glass or even Parchment paper and tape!
• Palette knife - A medium-sized flexible diamond shaped blade such as RGM 44, Leow-Cornell J-2 4
• Brushes – Optional. I prefer filberts and flats, small rounds for detail.
• Odorless Mineral Spirits – This is only if you plan to use brushes. A small can is fine.
• Paper Towels (Bounty)
• Oil Paints – any brand (small tubes except White) I use Windsor Newton, Gamblin and Rembrant
Some suggested colors:
Titanium White or Permalba White
Cadmium Yellow, Orange and Red
Permanent Rose, Permanent Magenta
Caput Mortem Violet (Rembrant), Dioxazine Violet
Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue
Viridian
Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber
