So, I have gotten myself into a bit of a pickle with the categories I've chosen. Some paintings can belong in more than one place. I could easily have placed this painting in Chronicles of Place. It does chronicle a specific place. But, you see I just put 3 other paintings in that category that are from storied locations: Museums, grand Du Pont estates!  

This is an out of the way little path to the beach near the Bay Bridge in Maryland. I met some friends to do some fun plein air painting together. So that cinched it. It was a plein air moment of community and fun so it's going in the plein air/perceptual category!
